At The Royal Sainik Vidyapeeth School, we take pride in providing our boarding students with a safe and nurturing environment. Our hostel is designed to create a warm, family-like atmosphere where students feel at home. The hostel is conveniently located next to the academic block, so students do not waste time traveling to and from the hostel building. It has been fully refurbished with modern amenities, including a large common room, mess, indoor game areas, and a WiFi-enabled smart TV hall. Each student sleeps on a bed and has an independent cupboard unit. The school provides the beds, but parents are required to supply the bedding, excluding mattresses. The washrooms have separate levels for baths and toilets to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. Filtered drinking water is provided in the hostel. The school playgrounds are used exclusively by hostel students during their evening games and morning physical training. Our experienced and dedicated hostel warden provides exceptional pastoral care to ensure that our boarding house pupils have a perfect home-away-from-home experience.
Extra Classes-
At Hostel we offer additional evening classes for hostel students. These classes are designed to help students overcome their academic weaknesses by focusing on areas where they need improvement. Our experienced teachers work with students to help them achieve their full potential and succeed in their academic courses.
Entertainment-
Hostel life is full of exciting activities for students to enjoy. In addition to the sporting and extracurricular opportunities available at school, our hostelers participate in a full program of social activities on Saturdays. These include dance and film nights.
Hosteler students’ birthday party -
Parents are allowed to meet their child or wish them over the phone on their birthday. Additionally, parents may request the hostel warden to arrange for birthday parties for their children at an extra cost.
Talking with a child staying in a hostel-
Parents may ring up the hostel warden and inquire about their child between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., but children, as a rule, are not permitted to talk on the telephone to their parents except on the calling days (which will be announced to the parents through a school message in advance).
Parents Children Meeting-
Once in a Month parents children meeting is conducted. So that parents can meet with their wards and bring the food items and snacks according to their wish.
Outpass to the student-
The school provides students with the facility of an outpass on Parents Children Meeting. The maximum duration of the outpass is decided by the school’s Academic Incharge to ensure that students’ academic studies are not interrupted. Parents can take their ward home (if the outpass is of at least 1 day) or to the city mall or restaurant for lunch or shopping.
It is important to note that students must present their outpass to the security guard while leaving the school main gate. The school expects parents to drop their ward at the reporting time mentioned in the outpass. Any change in existing arrangements should be immediately brought to the notice of school authorities.
Vacation-
Parents will be informed well in advance of the date of the commencement of vacation. Parents may come personally or authorize any other person in writing to receive the child. The school will otherwise dispatch the child at the parent’s risk. Similarly, parents will ensure that the child is escorted back to school on the due date. Late arrivals after vacation will be penalized and/or punished as decided by the Administrative Officer.
Leave-
The school has a strict policy regarding leave for hostel students . Normally, leave will not be granted to a student in the middle of the term. However, the Administrative Officer may exercise his discretion regarding the grant of leave on very special grounds such as serious illness of parents or the marriage of only real brothers or sisters. Please note that no leave will be granted in the case of marriage of cousin brother or sister.
Leave applications must be signed by the parents and sent to the Administrative Officer in advance. Parents should also mention that the journey of the student will be performed at parents’ risk.
Special Facilities for Hosteler Students-
In order to cater to the requirements of hostel students, our school has set up a stationery shop, a barber shop, a tailor shop, and a tuck shop on the premises. These facilities are available to the students to help them meet their daily needs without having to leave the school campus.
