Hostel Code of Conduct

Hostel Code of Conduct: Safety & Success

To maintain a secure, disciplined, and productive environment, all residential students and their parents are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. These rules are designed to ensure the well-being of our students and the smooth functioning of the institution.

Parent-Children Meetings (PCM)

  • Monthly Visits: We host monthly meetings where parents can visit their wards.
  • Special Treats: Parents are welcome to bring food items and snacks of their choice during these meetings to enjoy quality time with their children.

Leave & Outpass Policy

The school enforces a strict leave policy to ensure academic continuity:

  • Term-Time Leave: Leave is typically not granted during the middle of the term.
  • Exceptional Grounds: The Principal may grant leave for:
  •
    • Serious illness of parents.
    • Marriage of real brothers or sisters.
  • Restrictions: No leave will be granted for the marriage of cousins or for religious/public functions at relatives’ houses.
  • Application Process: Applications must be signed by parents and sent to the Principal’s WhatsApp (99969-10900) in advance. The journey is undertaken at the parents’ risk.

Vacations & Reporting

Our academic calendar includes scheduled breaks to allow students to recharge with their families.

Official Vacations:

  1. Summer Break: Observed in June.
  2. Diwali Break: Observed during the festival of lights.
  3. Winter Break: Observed in January.

Outpass Provisions:

  • Festival Outpass: A dedicated outpass is issued for Rakshabandhan to celebrate with family.
  • Hourly Outpass: For the convenience of parents, an Hourly Outpass is issued during PCM (Parent-Coordinator Meetings) and PTM (Parent-Teacher Meetings), allowing students a short break with their parents.

Important Reporting Rules:

  • Exam Integrity: To ensure students are prepared, no outpasses are issued during or near Periodic Tests, Half-Yearly, or Annual Examinations.
  • Strict Reporting Time: Students must return to the campus by 2:00 PM on the designated reporting day mentioned in the circular.
  • Late Reporting Fine: Timeliness is a core value. A fine of Rs. 100 per day will be charged for any student failing to report back on time.

Prohibited Items & Pocket Money

  • Pocket Money: Keeping cash in the hostel is strictly prohibited.
  • Valuables: Students may not keep jewelry (chains, rings, bracelets), smartwatches, or bangles. The school is not responsible for the loss of unauthorized valuables.
  • Outside Eatables: Outside food is not allowed in the dormitories. Students may purchase snacks (up to Rs. 60) only from the Grab & Go Canteen on Sundays.

Medical Protocol

  • Primary Care: Sick students receive initial medication from school-authorized hospitals.
  • Medical Leave: If the condition does not improve, parents will be notified, and the student will be sent home on medical leave for recovery.

Safety & Homesickness

Homesickness can sometimes lead students to attempt to leave the school boundary without permission.

  • Zero Tolerance for Absconding: Leaving the premises without an official outpass is a serious safety violation.
  • Parental Cooperation: If a student reaches home without permission, parents must inform the school immediately. We ask parents to counsel their wards on the consequences of such actions.
